Kona Criollo (Limited Edition)
Kona, Big Island grown Criollo 70% is an incredibly subtle and nutty bar from the first great tasting Hawaiian Criollo cacao beans Madre has worked with. The Criollo variety is rare and difficult to grow & ferment well in Hawaii, but they’ve been working with the farmer Gini of Likao Kula Cacao Farm for over a deade, collaborating on fermentation techniques and more. The color and sweetness of milk chocolate, with all of the health benefits and flavor of dark chocolate. Hence Madre call this the “gateway chocolate” to turn milk chocolate lovers to the dark side. Madre chocolate is made in a facility that also processes nuts and milk.
