Craft brewers have long been using cacao beans to infuse their beer with chocolaty flavours. Now, the Wellington Chocolate Factory has reversed the temporal flow of the universe, tore a hole in space-time, and emerged triumphant. Strong aromas of brown sugar, cherry, and flan punch you in the nostrils. The end result is a one-of-a-kind bar blended with Nelson Sauvin hops and Gladfield toffee malt. The former has the unique ability to impart a distinctive cool climate white wine “fruitiness,” akin to Sauvignon Blanc. Hence the name, Sauvin. The identity of Nelson remains a mystery.
